Introduction
HOMErs' mission is to revolutionize the real-estate sector by providing affordable and sustainable homes. In February 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine displacing >1 million people. Wanting to support those left homeless by the war, the founders' initial goal was to restore as many homes for Ukrainian families as possible.
The company has developed a scalable, tech-driven, aesthetic mobile modular house solution ranging from 2 modules (16 m2) up to 10 modules (80m2). The most significant advantage of a HOMErs' home is the simplicity and assembly speed, alongside efficient transportability. The homes are easily assembled/disassembled in days with minimal land preparation, plus an entire 3-modular house with furniture and amenities can be transported in a 20-ft container.
While HOMErs began with the intention of being a crisis housing solution for governments and charities internationally, there is huge potential, such as for first-time buyers, homeowners seeking an affordable second property, and holiday homes.
Monetisation strategy
Revenue is generated through the pre-order and purchase of modular homes from businesses and governments. The current average price of the basic 3-module home is USD 18,000 with each additional module USD 6,000 in Ukraine.
From 2024, we plan for a more premium modular home offering to be sold. These have already been developed and tested, and these will be the homes which will be sold going forward. The houses will sell for an average price of EUR 50k in Ukraine and EUR 70k for homes sold out of the Slovakian plant internationally.
HOMErs plan to sell 140 homes in 2024.
