CEO and Co-founder
Jeff co-founded Seedrs with Carlos in 2009. He began his career as a corporate lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and London, and he serves as a Non-Executive Director of Companies House. He has been named one of the top 10 coolest people in UK tech by Business Insider and one of the most influential men in Britain by GQ.
Chief Operating Officer
Jeff is an experienced executive with a track record in building, leading and scaling successful technology businesses. Before joining Seedrs, Jeff was CEO for Picsolve, a Fidelity-backed $75 million image capture business in the entertainment space where he delivered the company’s transformation from analogue to digital. Previously, he was CEO of Multimap, Europe’s first and ultimate leader in online mapping service which he led for five years through the first dotcom crash to a successful sale to Microsoft. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, skiing, cinema, and trying to play COD with his kids.
Chief Investment Officer
Thomas is a qualified lawyer who began his career with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in London, Hong Kong and New York. As CIO, Thomas leads our investment team – working with entrepreneurs throughout the campaigning and post-investment journeys. He’s also our resident photographer.
Chief Legal Officer
Karen is a qualified lawyer who began her career in Simmons & Simmons LLP’s financial litigation group. She heads our legal, compliance and financial teams, is a Director of the UK Crowdfunding Association, and was named one of the top women in fintech by Innovate Finance.
Chief Marketing Officer
With 14 years experience in digital strategy Ben is an accomplished marketer and entrepreneur, bringing a broad skill set to the team driving overall marketing strategy. He has worked in Europe, America and Australia with both startups and global brands such as MTV and Canon.
Adam is a creative product leader with a technical background, having gained a degree in Computer Science. Before joining Seedrs he built numerous web and native products, across a range of industries including e-commerce, on-demand marketplaces and financial services. At Seedrs, Adam heads up the product teams.
Chief Technology Officer
Ricardo is an experienced and pragmatic technology leader with a vast experience in the tech startup space. Before joining Seedrs, he spent the last few years building one of the biggest book discovery platforms, Bookstr, and also helped to launch the largest hotel online booking platform in Africa, Jumia Travel (formely Jovago, a Rocket Internet company). Ricardo worked in markets spanning the 5 continents and over 40 countries. In his free time, he loves to travel and play tennis.
HR & Operations Manager
Liz looks after HR and Operations at Seedrs. She previously worked as HR Manager for Skillcapital, an executive search and advisory firm. She has a degree in Pharmacology from the University of Liverpool.
Pedro leads the ops team, first joining Seedrs as a software engineer. A passionate learner, he has a MSc degree in computer science and a postgraduate diploma and CEFA certificate in financial analysis. He was previous responsible for Altitude Software’s predictive dialler algorithm. He loves challenges and believes everything is possible with the right amount of work and dedication.
Alexandre has over 15 years of experience in business innovation and growth. Alexandre is Co-founder and Managing Director of Faber Ventures, an investor in Seedrs, and was previously Co-founder and CEO of Innovagency, served as CEO of Atlântico and Blueticket, and was an associate at Oliver Wyman.
Steve is responsible for creating copy for our online and offline communications. He has a background in above, below and through-the-line agencies, but also has plenty of client-side fintech experience. He also has a pet lobster called Zoidberg.
Clement is a recent graduate with a first class degree in Economics from Queen Mary University of London where he also set up a start-up accelerator programme. At Seedrs, Clement works with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process, from campaign submission through to closing.
Theodora works with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process, from campaign submission through to closing. She previously completed a MSc in Globalisation at UCL before interning with Kiva in San Francisco.
Ian is a chartered accountant and fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Ian contributes his experience from several leading roles with HBOS and its predecessor, Halifax, including as Development Director of HBOS FS International, COO of HBOS General Insurance and CEO of Halifax Independent Financial Advisors Limited.
Tessa is part of the Seedrs PR team working closely with entrepreneurs raising on the platform. She is a recent graduate with a degree in English & Communications from the University of Liverpool. She’s lived and studied in Hong Kong and enjoys playing hockey on weekends.
Debra is a chartered accountant and certified anti-money laundering specialist. She started her career in banking where she specialised in regulatory compliance. At Seedrs, Debra handles the internal regulatory compliance function and in her spare time she can usually be found training for a marathon.
Olivia is the marketing team Graphic Designer, responsible for designing awesome brand materials and collateral. Olivia graduated with a degree in Interactive and Visual Design and has has over five years experience in graphic design. Originally from Australia, she loves traveling and spending as much time as she can at the beach.
Telmo started working in the banking sector, but soon understood that his heart was in agile development technologies. At Seedrs, Telmo is a member of the development team.
Community Support Associate
At Seedrs Josh acts as the primary contact for the wider Seedrs community, supporting investors and entrepreneurs throughout all stages of their experience. Josh previously provided professional, financial and administrative services to institutional and private clients in both London and Jersey.
Operations Manager (Lisbon)
Raquel is responsible for all the day to day operations in the Lisbon office taking care of the administrative work. She has a law degree and is currently enrolled in a graduate course in human resources management. In her spare time she writes about Lisbon’s amazing hot spots for Spotted by Locals.
As Product Manager, Leonardo ensures our investors have the best possible platform experience. He worked most recently as Director of Production at Our Cities facilitating local participation in cities across Brazil. Having lived on a sailboat in Rio for almost three years he is a self-declared water animal, always drawn to lakes and the sea.
Campaign Development Associate
Géraldine is responsible for establishing relationships with businesses and on-boarding them. Before Seedrs she worked in finance, consulting, tech and market research before running her own fash-tech startup Mode For Me. She is French-Colombian, has lived in France, Colombia, the US and the UK and speaks four languages.
Francisco is our Portfolio Associate working on post-investment matters for our portfolio companies. Francisco is finalising his MSc in Finance at Catolica Lisbon, focusing on equity valuation. Work and studies aside, he plays football every week.
Business Support Specialist
Reenie is responsible for the day to day operations of the London office, taking care of administrative and team operations. She has a business management degree and is currently studying law.
Senior Investment Associate
Saul is a qualified lawyer who joined us from a top international law firm headquartered in London. As Senior Investment Associate Saul works with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process, from campaign review, through to deal execution and post-completion.
Kirsty is a qualified lawyer who joined Seedrs from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. As a corporate lawyer Kirsty focused on mergers and acquisitions, with experience in London, Singapore and Australia. As Investment Director, Kirsty now manages the investment process from campaign review, through to deal execution and post-investment management.
Adam is our Marketing Manager, responsible for planning, creating and delivering various online and offline activity. He manages customer acquisition, retention and brand awareness campaigns. Adam has a background in advertising at creative agencies across London and most recently worked at Shazam to grow their marketing and advertising revenue.
Senior Campaign Development Associate
Tom is responsible for building relationships within the startup and SME eco-system; on-boarding exciting seed and growth businesses that are interested in equity crowdfunding. Prior to joining Seedrs, he began his career in advertising, working for top global agencies, before following his passion for startups. He holds a BSc Hons in Economics from the University of Bristol.
Senior Finance Associate
Charlie is the in-house accountant and assists with financial matters and compliance within the London Office. He has a degree in mathematics and economics from Nottingham University.
Prerna has joined Seedrs as a Financial Analyst following on from successfully completing A-Levels in Biology, Economics and Mathematics. Her daily role at Seedrs is incredibly varied but she spends most of her time with the Finance and Compliance team. Outside of work, she is a professional Henna artist, a skill which she often uses to raise money for charity at community events and fairs.
Shameel works with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process as well as focusing on post-investment matters for our portfolio companies. He previously worked at Raileasy, an online rail ticket retailer and the accountancy firm BDO.
Jakub is a Chartered Accountant who joined Seedrs after six years at EY where he delivered work for clients in the banking and capital markets industries. At Seedrs, he manages all aspects of the Finance function and oversees its potential to grow. Hailing from Prague, he has recently celebrated a milestone of ten years’ of residence in London.
Katerina is an internal auditor diagnosing risk across all areas of Seedrs. She previously worked for PwC, the European Commission and in the asset management industry. She loves travelling and has lived and worked in five countries.
Tim went to the University of Manchester to study Russian and joined Bain & Company in Moscow, Boston, Sydney and London. Tim left Bain in early 1998 and created a new retail concept when he opened his first Juice bar (Fresh n Smooth) in 1999 in Canary Wharf. The business has since evolved into a 31 store business across London called Crussh. In 1999, Tim joined 3 former colleagues from Bain & Company and launched Flutter.com. Flutter merged with Betfair.com in 2001. In 2009 Tim founded Augmentum Capital with the backing of RIT Capital and Lord Rothschild, and focuses on early stage Fintech businesses in Europe. Tim was made a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012.
André is a self-declared “nerd who grew up with the web”. He makes a continuous effort to bridge the gap between engineering, usability and design. André started off at SAPO before being seduced by the startup world, where he then worked for Uniplaces before joining Seedrs.
João is an informatics and computers engineer who collaborates with the greater Seedrs team through coding, scripting and process re-engineering. Apart from his vast experience with startups, he has worked within car manufacturing, construction and banking. On weekends you will find him riding a motorcycle, sailing down the Tagus or on a tractor at his family farm.
Born in France and raised in Holland, Alexandre recently graduated from Sciences Po Paris with a Master’s degree in Finance. Following placements in investment banking and private equity, he joined the Investment team to help entrepreneurs successfully run their fundraising campaigns from submission to closing.
Business Development Director
Rich is responsible for the strategic direction of business development across the entrepreneur and investor focused teams at Seedrs. His previous experience includes building out commercial teams, launching and monetising new product offerings and scaling revenues, both for startup and growth businesses in the alternative fund and internet sectors.
She’s responsible for delivering appealing, simple and innovative design approaches to Seedrs platform. Before Seedrs, she worked in several design agencies in web, illustration and print projects. Loves to draw and chill by the seaside.
Senior Investment Associate
Tom works with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process on Seedrs, from campaign submission through to closing. He previously worked for Naturetrek and within the audit team at Deloitte, and he holds a CFAB qualification from the ICAEW.
Legal & Compliance Manager
Leah handles the internal regulatory compliance function for Seedrs. She is a US qualified lawyer who previously worked at large law firms in both Chicago and London on litigation and regulatory matters in the financial services industry.
Regional Manager - Benelux
David is responsible for the expansion of Seedrs into the Benelux region. He studied economics in Groningen and started his career as an investment banker at Kempen & Co. He loves revolutionising industries, co-founding a company called LED Lease to offer innovative lighting services before joining Seedrs.
Investor Relations Associate
Patricia is responsible for growing and engaging the Seedrs investor community and building relationships with investment partners. She holds a BSc in Business Management from King’s College London and has previously worked in finance and consulting.
In her spare time she loves going to spin classes and testing new apps on her phone.
Sérgio is a member of the Seedrs development team. He has worked with agile software development for more than five years and loves to solve challenges in its area. In his free time he may be found somewhere riding his motorcycle.
Benjamin is an Investment Analyst who joined Seedrs after completing his A-Levels in the summer of 2016. His role at Seedrs is diverse – assisting the Investment team in working with entrepreneurs and businesses at various stages of their Seedrs journey. He previously worked with World Challenge to fundraise an expedition to Malaysia where young volunteers helped in a home for the disabled.
Business Development Associate - Iberia
Filipe is responsible for developing startup community relationships in the Portuguese and Spanish ecosystems for Seedrs. He has a long history of working with entrepreneur projects from seed to exit, actively mentoring entrepreneurs and evaluating businesses on both social impact and the commercial sides. Previously he worked as a physiotherapist with a Masters in Medical Informatics and an MBA from the University of Porto.
Simon started his career in a private lab focusing on antibody purification before putting his analytical interests into practise as a financial recruitment consultant. He now leads the investment team from campaign review through closing investments and post-investment matters.
Senior Campaign Development Associate
Chris is responsible for the initial contact with businesses interested in using the platform. He’s always on the look out for innovative and disruptive startups that are a good fit for equity crowdfunding. He is also co-founder of YoungOnes Apparel, so he fully understands the struggles and triumphs of being an entrepreneur. He’s even appeared on Dragon’s Den!
Adam is responsible for managing and building our investor base. His experience includes the promotion and distribution of investments to retail investors and intermediaries, including EIS and SEIS portfolios. He holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bristol and his interests include food, music and boxing.
Steven is an experienced insurance and financial services entrepreneur. He has been involved in founding a number of businesses both in London and South Africa. He is currently the COO of Lanner Capital and Chairman of Magian Mutual Insurance Company.
Andre is a Software Engineer at Seedrs, joining after graduating from Instituto Superior Técnico with an MSc in Computer Engineering and Information Systems. In his spare time he works on a side project with friends creating a social network to share experiences.
Catarina is a Software Engineer, having joined Seedrs shortly after finishing her MSc in Information Systems and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
In her free time, she enjoys playing computer games, reading and cooking.
Valentin leads the growth team at Seedrs. Previously he helped grow online communities MindMeister and Grape, and he founded innovative projects including the first German Inter Milan community, apps for productivity and events, plus an organic t-shirt label that grows into a tree. His goal is to be the first Austrian to visit every country in the world.
Henry is a recent graduate of Oxford University, where he studied Russian and spent a year working in Moscow. As an Investment Associate at Seedrs, he works with entrepreneurs throughout the campaign process, from submission to closing. Outside of work, he is a keen musician and plays the saxophone, flute and piano.
PR & Communications Director
Lucy heads up public relations and communications at Seedrs, generating awareness of fundraising campaigns and developing a media narrative around the Seedrs brand and wider equity crowdfunding space. She has 11 years PR industry experience, and joins Seedrs from Amazon, and previously Caesars Entertainment.
Campaigns Development Associate
Scott is responsible for promoting crowdfunding to exciting startups and encouraging them to raise on Seedrs. Having founded two separate companies, he has first-hand experience of the rigours and challenges of successful fundraising. He is a Durham University graduate and enjoys marathon running, football, cricket and supporting Aldershot Town (because someone has to)!
Co-Founder, Non-Executive Director
Carlos is an IT development and security expert. He is also an active mentor in the thriving Lisbon startup scene, co-founder of Beta-I and was named by Exame as one of the top 40 entrepreneurs under 40 in Portugal.
Nick is our data scientist, responsible for building a data driven culture behind every decision that Seedrs makes. He joined Seedrs after working at Conversocial and 6tribes. Nick is interested in how technology affects our emotional wellbeing.
After building web products for Amadeus, Benjamin headed to Africa where he worked on a wide variety of development projects. In parallel, he took the technical lead at Tout à Côté, an online marketplace aiming to promote local businesses. Today he works on the development of the Seedrs platform.
Information Security Director
Nuno is an information and cyber security expert who secures and upholds Seedrs’s digital resilience. He is an ISACA Lisbon Chapter board member, a university professor and used to be the Information Security Officer for Allianz in Munich. He loves riding motorcycles.
Legal and Operations Director - Seedrs America
Ben is the Legal and Operations Director for Seedrs America working to bring Seedrs to the United States. Before coming to Seedrs, Ben represented clients in a broad range of complex financial litigation in federal and state courts around the United States.
Social & Content Manager
At Seedrs Lucinda is responsible for everything social and content marketing focused. She graduated with a degree in journalism before going on to work in the copywriting team at PlayStation. Lucinda’s history with Seedrs runs deep – she was our marketing intern back in 2013 when we were just eight people in the London office.
Joana loves solving problems. That’s why she is responsible for creating design solutions that enhance user experiences at Seedrs. She graduated in Communication Design at Lisbon Fine Arts Faculty and for the last eight years worked on projects for Quodis, Wiz Interactive and Edigma.
Alysia heads up the marketing team, focusing on content strategy, customer engagement and brand development. She also heads up our popular campaign marketing sessions. Alysia is a mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation and was named one of the top women in fintech by Innovate Finance.
Business Development - DACH
Originally from Hamburg, Beatrice worked in account management before coming to London for her MSc in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. At Seedrs, she supports entrepreneurs fully throughout their fundraising journey, from initial submission through post-investment.
Regional Manager - DACH
Kyrill has launched and successfully developed ventures in four European countries prior to joining Seedrs as our regional manager for the DACH region. As an active mentor at and alumnus of some of the world’s leading accelerators (Founders Institute, Google Launchpad, Startup Canada), Kyrill is always looking to help entrepreneurs make the right connections to launch and scale their businesses.
Business Development - Benelux
Thierry is the Business Developer for the Benelux region. After graduating from Imperial College with an MSc in Entrepreneurship he worked in the international department at Deliveroo. He speaks five languages and has a passion for rugby.
