Introduction

Bombinate is an e-commerce marketplace connecting consumers to independent design brands that care about quality and sustainability in a $926 billion global market.

Fast fashion generates 92 million tonnes of waste every year. That is nine times more than the amount of plastic dumped in our oceans over the same period. Discarded furniture already accounts for 5% of the household waste in landfill.

Poor quality and hard to recycle items are cheaper to throw away than to repair. Worse still, most of this discarded furniture was only made within the last 15 years. The status quo just is not sustainable. Things have to change.

Bombinate exists to help people transition to a better quality, more sustainable lifestyle. We are a marketplace for quality products, made in workshops not sweatshops. We connect conscious consumers to independent furniture and clothing brands who care about what they make and how they impact society.

Monetisation strategy

By 2025, two-thirds of all online transactions will happen on a platform, yet the vast majority of our brands do not want to sell on Amazon or Etsy as they do not match their brand values. There is a massive opportunity to provide these brands with a leading commerce platform. Bombinate is a curated and integrated marketplace owning the customer experience, checkout and customer support.

- Bombinate's business model is based on commission on transactions that are agreed individually with each brand.

- Inventory-free marketplace; brands ship directly to the customer via our integrations.

- Custom-made marketplace tech-stack allows for scale and independence.

- Bombinate’s top 15% customers already order on average 3.63 times after 12 months and spend almost £1,000 in their first year.

Investing in a regular equity campaign is the simplest and most common way to invest in a startup. You decide which business you want to invest in, and if the campaign hits its funding target then you will become one of their shareholders. As the company becomes more valuable, so do your shares; allowing you the opportunity to share in the future success of the business.

Seedrs nominee

This shows if you are able to choose, when making an investment, that you be represented by, and your shareholding be managed by, the Seedrs nominee.

Custodian

If you invest in this Campaign, Seedrs will act as Custodian rather than provide our standard nominee service. This is due to the fact that the business is not directly involved in the share sale and Seedrs will not benefit from any rights under a shareholder agreement. As a result, Seedrs will handle administrative tasks as we do normally, but you will not have information or voting rights, updates from the business, preemption on future fundraising, or ongoing support about business trading activity.

Secondary market

This shows if the business has opted-in or opted-out of allowing its shares to be bought and sold on the secondary market.
