Philip founded Brain Füd after struggling for many years with chronic fatigue from Sickle Cell. Not able to find a natural enegry offering on the market, he decided to make one himself.
We now make great-tasting functional drinks that give you a lift! We use natural caffeine, B-vitamins and electrolytes, but don't use any added sugar or sweeteners.
In May 2019 we secured a trial listing in selected Sainsbury's stores nationwide, and are in conversation with other national retailers.
The UK energy drinks market is currently worth £2 billion, and globally the market is worth $55 billion.
The market leaders all currently contain lots of added sugar and artificial ingredients, and often don't taste great. There's a real opportunity for a great tasting natural energy drink that caters to health conscious millennials, and women who are currently underserved by the category.
Substantial accomplishments to date
Since launch in 2018, we've been selling our natural energy drinks in Universities and corporate offices, as well as on the online platforms Ocado and Amazon.
We've also recieved some great PR from national consumer and trade press!
Our future go to market strategy is fourfold:
1. Healthy convenience chains such as Benugo/ Itsu/ Eat
2. Premium/Health Retail: Planet Organic, Wholefoods, M&S, Waitrose, Sainsburys
3. Food Service & Status positioning: Corporate Offices; Unis, Boutique Gyms/ Yoga
4. Direct to Consumer: Target key audiences using Amazon, FB, Insta, YouTube
Use of proceeds
Money raised will go towards funding the production of our sleek new cans! We know that these cans will take us to the next level, directly appealing to our target audience, and enabling us to bag more distribution.

The company has an outstanding loan of £12,599 granted to a director at an interest rate of 6% per annum, which is being repaid monthly using funds from the company. None of the funds raised will be used to repay this loan.
