Vendoir is an award-winning one-stop-shop event planning app on a mission to make events sustainable, stress-free & inclusive. They launched publicly in November 2022, enabling easy sourcing, booking & management of event suppliers. Vendoir has 10k+ downloads and 100+ bookings so far, and has been featured in prominent platforms such as Forbes, Metro, Techround, and UKTN.

Vendoir are currently overfunding on Seedrs with 80+ investors and has ambitious plans for the future. We sat down with the Vendoir team, Oshoma Zekeri (Co-Founder and CEO), Yoma James-Kukor (Co-Founder and COO), and Charles Ofoegbu (Co-Founder at CTO) to find out more.

It’s impressive that you are committed to net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Can you talk us through how you are implementing this target? 

At Vendoir, we are committed to making events more sustainable. We have set a target to contribute to net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

To achieve this, we have partnered with a leading climate tech company. In the next few months, our platform will help users calculate, reduce, and offset carbon emissions from any event. We want to offer our clients a seamless way to make their events more sustainable.

This partnership is a game-changer for the event industry. For the first time, event organizers will have the tools and resources they need to make their events truly sustainable. We are confident that we can contribute massively to the 2040 net-zero carbon emissions target by ensuring anyone/anywhere can organise a sustainable event.

You just hit 100% of your crowdfunding target – congratulations! What has your funding journey been like so far, and what do you plan to do with the money you’ve raised? 

Thank you for the congratulations! We’re thrilled to have hit our crowdfunding target. It is important to note that the funding environment has become much more challenging in recent times, and we were prepared for it. We had to work as a team, stay focused and continue to thrive and today, we can see that it’s all paid off.  We’ll use the funds to accelerate growth, develop new product features, expand our sales and marketing team, enter new markets, and invest in sustainability initiatives like our partnership with Kilmahelden which will help accelerate our B2B offering. We believe Vendoir has the potential to revolutionize the events industry. We’re excited to make our vision a reality and help event organizers create more sustainable, stress-free, and inclusive events.

It’s fantastic to see that you have recently partnered with Kilmahelden, a leading climate tech company. What does this mean for Vendoir, and do you have any other partnerships in the pipeline?

Thank you! We’re excited about our partnership with Kilmahelden because it will help us make events more sustainable. Kilmahelden is a leading climate tech company that helps businesses calculate, reduce, and offset their carbon emissions. For example, our clients will be able to use Kilmahelden’s platform to calculate the carbon footprint of their events, identify ways to reduce emissions and offset any remaining emissions through high-quality carbon offset projects.

We believe this partnership is a game-changer for the events industry. For the first time, event organizers will have the tools and resources they need to make their events truly sustainable.

In addition to our partnership with Kilmahelden, we are also in talks with a number of other potential partners, and we cannot wait to share this with our community. We are particularly interested in partnering with companies that can help us achieve our mission by making event planning seamless, sustainable, and inclusive.  

Vendoir is marketed as taking the stress out of events – can you tell us a bit more about how the technology does this? 

Vendoir’s technology takes the stress out of events in a number of ways. Firstly, we have centralized all event planning tasks in one place. We provide a central platform where event organizers can manage all their event planning tasks, including finding and booking vendors, creating, and managing budgets and communication. This eliminates the need to switch between different tools and platforms, which can save event organizers a lot of time and stress.

We have simplified the vendor booking process which makes it easy for event organizers to find and book vendors with just a few taps. Event organizers can simply search for vendors by category, location, and availability. Once they have found a vendor that they are interested in, they can contact the vendor directly through Vendoir.

Vendoir also offers a variety of tools to help event organizers manage their contracts and payments with vendors. We also have real-time visibility into the event planning process. This allows them to track their progress and identify any potential problems early on.

Vendoir also sends event organizers automated notifications about upcoming deadlines and important tasks. Time is money and we want event planning to be stress-free and not the existing daunting, time-consuming and less fun process.

Where do you see Vendoir in 5 years? 

In five years, we see Vendoir as the leading sustainable global platform for event planning and execution. Vendoir will be used by event organizers of all sizes, from small businesses to large corporations, to plan and execute their events. Vendoir will be known for its ease of use, powerful features, and commitment to sustainability.

Here are some specific things we see Vendoir achieving in the next five years:

  • Expanding into new markets: Vendoir will expand into new markets, such as Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. This will allow Vendoir to help even more event organizers around the world create more sustainable, stress-free, and inclusive events.
  • Developing new features: Vendoir will continue to develop new features to make its platform even more useful and user-friendly. For example, Vendoir is developing a new feature that will allow event organizers to buy, sell and hire sustainable products/equipment for their events, making the entire event planning process ever green.  
  • Partnering with other businesses: Vendoir will partner with other businesses in the events industry to offer its clients a wider range of products and services. For example, Vendoir is partnering with a leading venue company to offer its clients discounted rates on venues. 
  • Becoming a leader in sustainable events: Vendoir will become a leader in sustainable events. Vendoir will offer its clients a variety of tools and resources to help them reduce the environmental impact of their events. 

We believe that Vendoir has the potential to revolutionize the events industry. Vendoir’s technology is making event planning easier and less stressful for everyone involved. Vendoir is also committed to sustainability, which is an important issue for many event organizers and their guests.

What has been the biggest learning on your journey so far? 

The biggest learning on our journey so far has been the importance of listening to our users. When we first started Vendoir, we had a lot of ideas about what features, and functionality would be most valuable to event organizers. However, we quickly realized that it was important to listen to our users and understand their needs.

We have learned that the best way to build a successful product is to focus on solving real problems for our users. We have also learned that it is important to be flexible and adaptable. The events industry is constantly changing, and we need to be able to change our product roadmap accordingly.
