The Programme

6:00pm – Arrive for drinks and nibbles at Digital Catapult Centre.

6:45pm – Event kicks off with Seedrs roundup.

6:50pm Fireside chat with Dr Jeremy Silver, CEO of Digital Catapult, industry-leading entrepreneur, investor, author and business mentor who has been on the leading edge of the convergence of technology and media throughout his career.

7:10pm A conversation with Vincent Mckevitt, Founder of Tossed, to discuss his experience as an angel investor in picking businesses with potential, how he goes about curating his investment portfiolio as well as his own story as a founder of a successful business that has nailed a crowdfunding raise on Seedrs

7:30pm – Startup hot seat:

Three minute elevator pitches from up to five ambitious startups, including:

  • Perkbox – The UK’s leading employee and customer engagement provider.
  • CityMunch – A new app that is hoping to keep restaurants full at off-peak times and customers happy with affordable meals out.
  • WeSwap – The people’s currency exchange, helping travellers round the world get a better deal on their travel money.
  • SuperCarers – SuperCarers is an online platform helping families to find trusted carers living in their local area.
  • WeTRAIN – Creating a new market of social exercise through fun and personalised small group training.

Following each pitch, the entrepreneurs will answer questions from the audience.

8-9pm – Chance for networking with the speakers and other guests over more drinks and nibbles.
