How do I make a profit from my investment?
To make a profit on your investment, you will generally need to sell your shares for more than the amount you invested. In a best case scenario, the value of your shares will rise in line with the growth of business you invested in, and you will be able to see your shares when the business floats on a stock exchange or is bought by another company (i.e. an exit event). However, as set out in the Risk Warning there is no guarantee that a sale opportunity will arise. Alternatively you may be able to sell your shares in a private transaction if you find an interested buyer. You should not expect businesses that raise money on Seedrs to pay dividends (at least not in the short to medium term), as any available capital will likely fund further growth.
