Introduction

Sound and noise can make or break the experiences of guests and staff in social spaces.
Sounds that are louder than the average can affect our health, impact our concentration levels and influence our mood.

From a study conducted by us with 119 responses, 86% of 20-40 year olds, who attended four venues in the Olympic Park, say they left the venues due to excessive noise.
Mumbli’s Mission is to support spaces in becoming inclusive for all hearing preferences so that there is audio accessibility for everyone. Under the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we believe that everyone has the right to hear and be heard.
Founded in 2018, our patent-pending Hearing Wellness Platform uses smart devices to continuously monitor noise levels in venues, ensuring that they are constantly maintained for the audio wellbeing of both guests and staff.
We use a proprietary rating system to Certify Venues for Sound which means a space is committed to providing an inclusive environment for any hearing preferences.

With 20 million people in the UK and over 2 billion worldwide who are sensitive to sound or hard of hearing, it’s time to recognise that hearing wellness is more important than ever. We believe everyone has a right to hear and be heard.

Monetisation strategy
Our current sound monitoring system works on a subscription model, where customers gain access to a live dashboard and live notifications to track sound levels and gain access to regular reports. Our target customers are typically hospitality businesses, property developers and events spaces.
In the future, we plan to provide “Sound As A Service”, a premium subscription model enabling the use of sound data to activate 3rd party integration services such as music curation and automatic music volume control.
We are also aiming to launch the assistive technology feature in the next generation of monitoring devices, enabling our target customers’ community to connect to the built environment via Low Energy Audio technology - a protocol launched by Bluetooth in 2022.
In addition, Mumbli plans to launch a B2C product to include a consumer service matching the hearing profile of a person with the sound profile of a venue.
