Whoomies was founded in 2017 with the mission of helping millions of people get the most out of their shared housing hunt and move-in.

We aim to shape the shared housing market thanks to our full-circle and tenant-driven approach.
By including access to housing-related services inside Whoomies App by end-2019, we aim to cover all aspects of room hunting.

We take great pride in having successfully launched, to our knowledge, the first shared housing mobile app in France and London, on both iOS and Android stores.

- Targeting a huge opportunity using our technology as a B2B solution dedicated to shared accommodation property managers: Whoomates.

All of this has been possible because we have built a cross-functional team of amazing members dedicated to improving people’s lives.
After being named among the best-in-class apps by Apple and proving our product-market fit, the time has come to start monetizing.
- Tenants: direct monetization through value-added features that will shorten the room hunting process (eg: Tinder-like features for matching, trust features for room application)
- Room listers: Premium Adverts & paid features to manage tenants’ application processes.
- Services: Business provider strategy (kickback) through exclusive partnerships; offering a range of highly valuable services helping our users to settle in new cities easier.
Those multiple revenue streams allow us to be seen as a low-cost solution for users, advertisers and partners, while maximizing our ways to be profitable. This makes our model scalable, replicable and long lasting.
The Whoomates business model is simple, shared accommodation managers will be charged a setup fee, to tailor our solution according to their needs & specifications. And will pay per matched resident.
Use of proceeds
1) Product improvement and monetization.
Whoomies App [V2 & V3 Launch + Web-based platform]:
- Improved User Experience.

We aim to further improve our user experience in 2019 by going deeper into the searching and move-in processes while focusing on monetization.
Whoomates [V1 Development & Launch]:
We are looking to fully automate our room allocation process while creating a data-management dashboard for residence managers.
2) Team expansion.
Key Recruitments (2-4 full-time):
- Grow our tech development resources.
- Scale up our business development efforts.
3) Customer Acquisition.
We’ve been successful at customer acquisition since the very beginning of our journey.
--> Keep on using communication and acquisition tools as a leverage for expansion and revenue.
--> Expanding to the entire UK & launch trials in new highly targeted markets.
Please note investors in this round will be receiving ordinary shares in the company which have pro-rata rights to voting and a return of capital on a winding-up or exit. Please note that an existing investor in the company holds 1x participating preference shares. This means that on a winding up or sale of the company this shareholder will receive €250,000 before then participating pro-rata alongside ordinary shareholders.
