The SEIS (Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme) provides extensive tax relief for tax-paying investors who invest in small, early-stage UK companies.

As of 6th April 2023, changes to the SEIS legislation have been implemented to further incentivise investors to support startups. We’ve summarised these changes in a downloadable one pager and have built out The Ultimate Guide for SEIS Tax Relief and The Ultimate Guide for EIS Tax Relief to evaluate key differences.

At Seedrs, we’ve facilitated over 200 successful SEIS campaigns, helping founders raise early capital needed to grow and innovate within the UK startup scene. We took a look at the top 10 largest SEIS-compliant raises on the Seedrs platform, prior to the April 2023 legislation changes. (Please note, when the nominee allocation is above £150,000, any investment above the threshold will be raised separately under EIS.)
